I read this in the Winter 2008 _Wilson Quarterly_. In the mid-50s, Ford Motor Company recruited the poet Marianne Moore to find a name for a new car model. Some of her sugestions include: the Silver Sword the Resilient Bullet the Mongoose Civique the Utopian Turtletop Alas, Ford decided instead to name the car Edsel. Considering how that particular model tanked, perhaps Utopian Turtletop would have been the most appropriate.
